Girls at Somers Migrant Camp c.1950.
The camp was operated on the site of the former RAAF Training School during 1949 - 1957 as transition acommodation forEuropean immigrants from post World War Two. A school was provided for the children, there was a hall where functions could be held and a general store was available close by.
