The Forbes family farmed in Merricks in early twentieth century. Dave Forbes ran a dairy herd and supplied milk to locals including HMAS Cerberus. He was active in community affairs.
Forbes family’s Presentation coffee pot was given to Mr & Mrs D Forbes as a mark of esteem by the Residents of Balnarring on their leaving the district, 16/3/1934.
