HISTORY

Somers 1994. Sandy Point, near Haans Inlet, site of landing for early explorers and settlers. Site of a jetty linking with Phlilip Islano date. In the 1850s a Customs House and a Police Station were located nearby to deter landings of Chinese en route to the goldfields.
