HISTORY

Somers c.1985. John Benn bought the Coolart estate of 2000 acres from Joseph Hann in 1864. He patnered with Theodotus Sumner and Richard Grice from 1862 until he bought Theodorus out in 1875.
Sumner, Grice and Benn were a mercantile and shipping firm. They Developed Coolart as a model farm. Sumner died in 1884.
