HISTORY

Balnarring 1962. Pichlers’ Chicken Bar and petrol outlet. Ryszard and Gertrude Pichler who operated a poultry farm on their proprty in Balnarring, opened a roast chicken outlet over a decade before such shops became commonplace.
The Pichlers were post World War two migrants to Australia. They lived in the Somers Migrant Hostel for a time and settled in Balnarring.
