HISTORY

Balnarring Beach, 1948. ‘Paul Francis on the beach at the end of Hansens Lane with a Latvian friend from the somers Migrant Camp.’
Paul Francis, son of schoolteachers Howard and Veronica Francis, lived in ‘the Nook’ in Hansens Lane during the 1940s and early 1960s. Somers Migrant Camp was located on the site of the Airforce Training School of the 1939 -1945 World War, between Lord Somers Camp and coolart.
