HISTORYRose series, The ; no. P.13935. The man on the jetty is Jack Sheehan. The boat moored at the front is the “Pioneer” and the boat at the back is the “Sea Hunter”, belonging to Wrights of Rosebud.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows the side arm of Hastings jetty. Part of the derrick is in the foreground and there are cane crayfish pots on the jetty. A family of four are at the end of the jetty and a man and a boy are in the middle of the jetty, looking at a boat. Two fishing boats are moored at the jetty, both with crayfish pots on board. Western Port Bay and French Island are in the background.
