HISTORY

The image was taken in the original Hastings Hall, which was burnt down.

DESCRIPTION

The image shows eight men seated on chairs, and one man standing, on an improvised stage. Two of the men are holding small accordions, one is holding a banjo and two are holding tambourines. The stage has a backdrop depicting an island scene, there are curtains draped above and decorative screens on either side. There is a coat of arms above the stage with the words “Hastings Minstrels Victory is in Truth”. Six wooden benches are on the floor in the foreground. The second original of this image is a Post Card.
