HISTORYThe school was opened in 1918 and the convent in 1932. Printed on the back of the photo is: “Catholic School opened 1918 - Convent 1932”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of the Catholic School in Hastings. There are two brick buildings and both have triangular pediments at the front along with verandah posts. The building on the left of the photograph has a white line running around it about one third up from the ground. Both buildings appear to have tiled roofs. Two brick chimneys are seen on the building on the right of the photograph. There is a large expanse of grass in the foreground and large trees are seen on both sides of the buildings and at the back of the buildings.
