HISTORY

This photograph was taken in High Street, Hastings. The bus belongs to the “Peninsula Bus Lines” and the prime-mover is either a Chevrolet or a GMC. The house behind the bus is on the corner of King and High Streets. These photographs were donated by Bruce Bennett from the collection of D. Harle. The writing on the back of both photographs is as follows: “Semi-trailer bus in High Street house on cnr King St in background” “from Bruce Bennett” “D. Harle collection”.

DESCRIPTION

This image is of an articulated bus parked in a street. “Peninsula Bus Lines” is written on the side of the bus. There is a large tree near the bus. Behind the bus is a very tall electricity pole and behind that several houses can be seen.
