HISTORYThis is a photograph of Mr Alf Haddock. He used this truck to carry fish from the Hastings jetty to the Hastings Railway Station. The truck is a 1928-29 Chevrolet. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Mr. ALF HADDOCK and his truck which he used to carry fish from Hastings jetty to Hastings Rly.Stn. Chev truck 1928-29”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of a man posing beside a Chevrolet truck which is parked on a dirt road. He is wearing a suit with a cardigan underneath his coat. His arm is resting on the truck door. A boy can be seen sitting on the top of a fence post at the far right of the photograph. Trees can be seen in the background. The number plate of the truck is 62-363 and the word ‘CARRIER’ can be seen above the windscreen.
