HISTORYThis is one of a series of colourized early postcards of Somerville, Victoria, showing the Church of England (Anglican) building. Printed on the bottom of the postcard is: “Church of England, Somerville, Vic.”. On the back is: “Post Card For Correspondence For Address”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of a red brick church with a narthex, a galvanized roof and a post and rail fence at the front. Part of a wire gate can be seen on the right-hand side of the image, with a gravel path leading to the church. There are large trees at the rear and the right-hand side of the image and small trees on the left. The grass in the foreground is overgrown. Printed at the bottom of the postcard is: “Church of England, Somerville. Vic.”.
