HISTORYThis is a portrait of an early Hastings resident, Mr William Henry Peddle. He was born in 1890 and died in 1964. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “William Henry Peddle 1890 1964”.
DESCRIPTIONThis is an oval portrait of a young man from the waist up. He has wavy hair with a part on the left. He is wearing a three-piece suit with a tie, which has a very small knot. The collar on his shirt is very wide and rounded at the ends. He is clean shaven and not looking directly into the camera. The photographers name and address is printed in silver on the bottom right-hand side of the mounting. A piece of white paper is taped to the bottom of the mounting with the typed words: “William Henry Peddle 1890-1964”.
