HISTORY

This is a photo of an early fishing boat on the Western Port, at Hastings. French Island is the land that can be seen on the far horizon. The people in the boat could possibly be the Haywood Family. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Early Fishing Boat Hastings”.

DESCRIPTION

This image is of a boat with sails, towing a tiny boat on a large expanse of water. Land can be seen on the far horizon and there is a very large expanse of sky. There are two men on the boat with the sails, one near the tiller and one at the rear of the boat.
