A man in the back row on the far right of the photograph is also wearing a suit and tie and has a towel across his shoulder. Printed on the flag is: “H.F.C. PREMIERS 1934 A. GRADE” plus the initials: “MPFL”. Printed on the mounting at the top is: “MORNINGTON PENINSULAR FOOTBALL LEAGUE. HASTINGS FOOTBALL CLUB. CENTENARY PREMIERSHIP 1934”. All the names of the men are printed at the bottom of the mounting.

HISTORY

This photograph shows the Hastings Football Club, along with their Trainer, Secretary and President after winning the Centenary Premiership of 1934 in the Mornington Peninsular Football League. The men’s names are as follows: Back Row - J.A. McMillan, R.L. Clarke, J.E. Unthank, E.W. Fisher, A.J Heggen, H.W. Hodgins, N.K. Jones, C. Tolson, G. Parscisson (Trainer). Middle Row - H. Haddock (Secretary), F. Denham, H. Jack, G. Perrott (Vice Captain), T. Mirabella (Captain), C.P. Perrott, G. Mirabella, R. Mentiplay, P. Wilson, T.H. Barclay (President). Front Row - C.E. Horsburgh, B. Wilson, S. Mirabella, L. Mentiplay. Absentees - R.L. Storey, H. Porter. There is a sticker on the back of P93.1 with “donated by Mary Buxton (Morphett)” written in blue biro. Written in blue and red biro on the back of P93.2 is: “Jean Peters 23 River Street, Maidstone 3012”. All the men’s names have been typed on a piece of paper and glued to the back of the copy.
