HISTORY

This is a photograph of Mr Charley Baker. Written on the back of the photograph is faded black ink is: “Charley Baker Hastings” and “Mr Charley Baker Hastings Post Office” and “Charley Dear”. There is a lot of scribble over the writing.

DESCRIPTION

This full-length image shows a well-dressed man leaning nonchalantly against the trunk of a large gum tree. He is wearing a three-piece suit. His shirt has a small collar and he is wearing a cravat. He has a flower in his coat lapel, a handkerchief in his coat pocket and a fob watch in his waistcoat. He is holding a walking stick and gloves in his left hand and his right hand is in his pinstriped trouser pocket. His legs are crossed and a top hat is resting on the tree trunk. He is standing on overgrown grass and leaves.
