HISTORYThis photograph of local identities was taken in the Hastings area early in the 20th century. The names of the men are written on the back of the Post Card and are as follows: left to right: Bert Edwards, Dick Bryant, Tom Barclay, Billy Longmuir, Mac Bryant, George Barclay, George Slocombe, Tom Longmuir, Fred Barclay. Also printed on the back is: “POST CARD For correspondence For address only Stamp”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a group of nine men on bicycles, in a line, posing for a photograph. All the men are wearing suits. Two men are wearing caps and the rest are wearing hats. All except three are wearing ties. They are supporting each other with hands on shoulders. They are on an open piece of ground with some buildings and trees in the far background.
