HISTORY

This is a fishing boat being constructed at Stony Point. Written on the back of the Post Card is: “Boat No RFB 425”. also printed on the back is: “POST CARD Correspondence Address”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a group of men beside a partly built boat who have stopped work to pose for a photograph. A little girl, dressed in white and wearing a large white hat is in the foreground. The boat is helf up by two poles at the front. There are seven men in the photograph. The man on the left is wearing a waistcoat, hat and his long sleeves are rolled up. There are two men wearing caps behind the boat who are only partly visible. On the right-hand side of the photograph are a group of four men. The one on the left is wearing a waistcoat, white long sleeved shirt rolled up and is holding a hat in one hand and a saw in the other. Behind these men is a sail and mast. There is water and land in the background.
