HISTORYThis could possibly be Balnarring Beach. Written on the back of the postcard in blue biro is: “W P Myers”. Also printed on the back is: “ POST CARD Correspondence Address only Kodak Australia”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of a beach scene and a bay. There is a group of fourteen men and women in the foreground on the right-hand side of the image, standing talking. All are well dressed and wearing hats. The men are all in suits. The two men on the right-hand side of the group appear to be in military uniform. Many other people are on the beach, both walking and sitting. There is a beach hut on the far side of the bay and other huts are partly visible amongst the trees. Trees and shrubs stretch across the background. The tide appears to be well out and there is a great deal of seaweed on the sand.
