HISTORY

This is a photograph taken by Mr Edwin Mawson on the occasion of Mr Albert Perrott being made a Life Member of the Hastings-Western Port Historical Society, in 1979. It was taken in the Historical Society’s rooms. The men in the photograph from left to right are: Geoff Bennett, Jack Danaher, Albert Perrott and Bert Maslen. Mr Geoff Bennetts was the Society’s first President.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows four men posing for a photograph. There is a tall man on the left-hand side of the photograph, smiling and holding a book, “Historic Places of Australia”. He is wearing a patterned shirt with the collar over the top of his buttoned-up jacket. He has his hand on the shoulder of a man in the centre of the image, who is also holding the book. This man is wearing a T-shirt, pullover and cardigan and wearing spectacles. There is a man standing behind and between them smiling broadly at the camera. Another man on the right-hand side of the photograph is looking on and smiling. He is wearing a shirt, tie and a jacket zipped at the front. The wall behind the group is covered in pictures, paintings and newspapers articles.
