HISTORYThis is a wedding photograph of Owen Bryant and Coral (Corrie) Barclay. Typed on a piece of paper and taped to the front of the mount is “Mr and Mrs O. Bryant (nee Corrie Barclay) (1912)”. Written on the back in black pen is: “Owen & Corals group December 4th 1912” also written is: “T.B.”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a wedding group of four people. The bride is standing and wearing a long dress to the ground with long sleeves and very high lace at the neck. She is wearing a brooch at the base of the neck. Her hair is swept up underneath a headpiece and veil. She is holding a very large bouquet. The groom is seated beside her. He has a moustache, neatly combed hair and is wearing a three-piece suit with a bow tie. He is holding his gloves in his left hand. The best man is wearing similar attire, holding his gloves in his right hand and his left hand is resting on the groom’s shoulder. The bridesmaid is sitting beside the bride. She is wearing a long dress with a round neck and a brooch at the front. She is holding a dark coloured bouquet with dark ribbon. She has a part in the middle of her hair and is wearing spectacles. They are posing in front of a weather-board structure which is covered with a creeper.
