HISTORYThis is a postcard of Betts Avenue at Somerville, taken in 1910. Printed on the back is: “Post Card Correspondence Address”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of a street scene. There are three, two wheeled, horse-drawn vehicles beside a three rail split post and rail fence. A covered four-wheeled vehicle is in the foreground, in the centre of the photograph. Three horses are tied to the fence on the right-hand side of the postcard and one horse on the left-hand side of the postcard. There are large trees along the fence line and in the background. A dirt road is in the foreground. Printed at the bottom of the postcard, on the left-hand side is: “Betts Avenue, Somerville”. Scratched onto the surface on the right-hand side of the postcard is “1910”.
