HISTORY

This is a photograph of Perrotts slaughtering pen, taken before 1920. The man is Reuben Perrott.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a shed made from rough cut timber and a man standing against the wall on the right-hand side of the photograph. He is wearing a vest over his long-sleeved shirt which has the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. His hat is in the middle of the floor. There are many carcasses of sheep and pigs hanging and there are four sheep heads on the floor. A high post and rail fence can be seen in the background. Written at the bottom of the photograph is: “Gone, but not forgotten”.
