HISTORY

This image is of fishing boats in King’s Creek, Hastings. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Fishing Boats tied up in King’s Creek Hist 1 of 5” “Given to Society in 1981 by Mr Norm Francis of Tyabb”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows several small fishing boats on a mud bank beside a small creek. Three of the boats have tall masts. A man can be seen working on the middle boat and another man is nearby, slightly bent over, working on fishing gear that is hanging over a rail. There are fences and posts on the left-hand side of the photograph with fishing nets etc hanging over them. The two men are dressed in suits and are both wearing hats. Small shrubs can be seen on the bank on the right-hand side of the creek.
