DESCRIPTIONThis image is a studio portrait of a bride and groom. The bride is standing. Her dress is to the floor and has long sleeves puffed above the elbow and straight to the wrist. A small band and lace frill is below the elbow. There are three rows of frills around the bottom of the skirt. The neckline is high, with a brooch and there is an overlay of lace on the bodice. There is a corsage on the left-hand side of her bodice. She is carrying a large bouquet of flowers tied with a very large ribbon which is falling across the floor. She is carrying gloves in her left hand. Her headpiece is made up of tiny ‘teardrops’ and her veil falls almost to the floor. The groom is half-sitting on a pedestal with one foot on the floor. He is wearing a three-piece suit with a very high collar and a small bow tie. He has a spray of flowers in his coat lapel. He is holding gloves in his left hand. He has a large moustache. The wall behind has images of trees and leaves.
