HISTORYThis photograph is of some of the last aboriginal people on the Mornington Peninsula. Written on the back in blue pencil is: “Some of the last Aboriginals on the Peninsula Mrs Steer”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows an aboriginal woman and man standing on grass looking at the camera. The woman has a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and appears to be barefoot. She has curly hair to her shoulders. The man is wearing a long sleeved shirt hanging out over long pants which are rolled up at the bottom. He is wearing a hat and is barefoot. He has a beard and moustache. There are two dogs in the foreground and one dog standing beside the man. There are thick shrubs behind them.
