HISTORY

This is the Hastings jetty. The tanks in the background are for oil storage and they are on Long Island. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “1978”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows people walking on a jetty. The photograph was taken from the shore. Three people and a small child are walking beside a boat shed on the left-hand side of the image. Four people and two small children are further back on the jetty, walking towards the shore. A small boat is behind a sign on a post on the far right-hand side. The tide appears to be low. Another small shed is at the end of the jetty. Land can be seen in the background along with several large white tanks. A white pole is in the foreground.
