HISTORYThis photo of a tip is on the Hastings foreshore on the Western Port. The flag poles are in front of the Shire Offices in Marine Parade. Written on the back of the photograph in pencil is: “Hastings Foreshore from Council Chamber Balcony 1966”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a rubbish tip on a foreshore. Several small boats can be seen on the water. There are two flag poles in the foreground, a road and mangroves to the water’s edge. A telegraph pole is on the right-hand side of the image and large tree branches beside it. Land can be seen in the background. A sticker on the top right-hand corner reads “Hastings Foreshore - 1966”.
