Another man, wearing a hard hat, is partly visible in a hole on the bottom right-hand corner of the photograph. A forty-four gallon drum is on the ground on the left-hand side. A sticker is attached to the top right-hand side of the photograph and reads: “Chimney Stacks at BP Refinery”.

HISTORY

This is one of a series of photographs showing the development of the BP Oil Refinery at Crib Point. A scale model of BP’s process units was built at the site to help with their construction and for training and maintenance purposes. Written on the back in pencil is: “BP Refinery 1964-65”.
