HISTORYThis is a photograph of William (Bill) Haddock who served in WW2. He is in AIF uniform and was a member of the 2nd 5th, 6th Division. He served in the Middle East, part of Morocco, Syria, Greece, France and New Guinea. He was a member of the Hastings Western Port Historical Society.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is a portrait of an Australian soldier, taken from the waist up. He is wearing an military jacket, buttoned up to the neck and a hat with a strap around his chin. He has a rising sun pinned to his collar. The name “Elias” is embossed on the bottom left-hand corner of the image.
