HISTORYThis group of people are the Methodist Church Choir at Hastings. They are posing for the photo outside their church. The people in the back row are: Alf Haddock, Jessie Mentiplay and Mr Young, the Choir Master and Lizzie Sheehey. The next two men are not identified. The woman sitting left is not identified and the woman on the right is Minnie Haddock. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Methodist Choir Alf Haddock Jessie Mentiplay Mr Young (choir Master) Lizzie Sheehey ? ? Amelia (Minnie) Haddock”.
DESCRIPTIONThis is a faded image of a group of people outside a brick building. Four men and two women are standing at the back and two women are sitting in front of them. The women are all wearing similar long-sleeved, white lace, long dresses with a high neckline and a belt at the waist. The men are all dressed in three-piece suits and three of them have flowers in their lapels. The elderly man in the centre has a long white beard.
