HISTORYThis image is of Martha Robinson’s cottage at 95 Salmon Street, Hastings. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Martha Robinson’s cottage. 1989”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of a small weather board cottage with a galvanised iron roof. It has a small verandah with four posts. The front door is in the centre of the building and a set of three pane windows, with curtains, are on either side of the door. On one side of the door is a plaque with the name “Inverness” and the number 95 and on the other side of the door a meter box can be seen. There is an antenna on the roof. A small lean-to structure is on the left-hand side of the photograph with a large white pot plant in front of it. Part of another pot plant can also be seen. Another cottage and a broken wooden fence can be seen on the right-hand side of the photograph.
