HISTORYThis is a photograph of the Haddock family standing in an orchard of apple trees. The Haddock brothers are, left to right, Alf, Joe and Harold and their sister is Amelia (Minnie). The Haddock family owned at least two orchards in Hastings. One was on the south side of Watts Road (now the Frankston-Flinders Road) where Haddock Street is now. Another orchard was in Graydens Road, northside, west of the Frankston-Flinders Road. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Back Row l-r Alf,Joe,Harold Minnie”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image is of three men and one woman standing on rough ground in an orchard posing for the camera. They are all dressed very well, the men in three-piece suits and ties and the woman in a long sleeved dress with a large collar and a large pleat in the front of the skirt. She is wearing a brooch, white stockings and her hair is pulled back severely. There are fruit trees behind them.
