This image shows an elderly lady standing beside a small table. She has her hand on a pot plant which is in the centre of the table. Her dress has long puffed sleeves and the skirt is touching the ground. There are three rows of pleats around the bottom of the skirt. A small lace collar is at the neck and the dress features satin ribbon let into the bodice and skirt. Her hair is swept up at the back. Part of a wooden building, covered in a creeper, can be seen behind her. Wire netting is along the bottom of the building.

The woman in this photograph is Mrs Knox. The cottage is in Coolstore Road, Hastings, opposite the hospital.
