HISTORY

The names of these children are: Bill De La Haye, Dorothy De La Haye, Joseph De La Haye and Anne De La Haye. Both copies of this image are the same size and their names are written on the back of each photo. The original photo is owned by Dell Mirabella.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a portrait of four young children. An older boy and girl are standing and a younger boy and girl are sitting on cane chairs in front of them. The boys are dressed in sailor suits. The eldest girl is wearing a dark long-sleeved dress with a light coloured pattern on the cuffs and the collar. She has long curls over her shoulders and a hair band with a bow on the side of her head. The small girl is wearing a long-sleeved white dress with a lace trim on the bottom of her long sleeves, on the collar and around the hem of her dress. All the children are wearing black shiny shoes. There are two rugs on the wooden floor and a plant on a stand in the background. None of the children are smiling.
