Her left arm is bent and her hand is resting on the left side of her neck. He hair is pulled back. She is wearing a dark coloured dress. It has a self embroided pattern, long sleeves with a turned back cuff. There is an additional small pleated capped sleeve. There are pin-tucks across the front of the dress and along the large, deep lapels on the dress. A bar brooch is at the base of her neck. She has a very slight smile on her face. Flowers can be seen in the foreground on the right-hand side. The photographers particulars are embossed in silver at the bottom of the mounting board.

This young woman is Sarah Jane Wright/De La Haye. This original photograph was owned by Dell Mirabella. Written on the back in blue biro is: “Sarah Jane Wright De La Haye”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a young woman, from the waist up, posing for a photograph. She is standing behind a waist-high wall, with both arms resting on top of the wall.
