HISTORY

The boy in this image is Francis Mirabella. He is the son of John Mirabella. He is with his uncle, Harold Porter. The boat is the “Jon-Dell”. Written on the back of the photograph in blue biro is: “Francis Mirabella son of John & Harold Porter (uncle) in the (Jon - Del) Hastings”. The size of the other copy is L10 x W15. The original photograph is owned by Dell Mirabella

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a boy and a man in a boat with a lot of fish on the bottom of the boat. They are both smiling and looking at the camera. The boy is wearing a short sleeved shirt, overalls and rubber boots. The man is wearing a check shirt, cardigan and long trousers. He is wearing a hat a dark rimmed spectacles. There are a lot of wooden boxes in the boat, a bucket and plastic basket. Part of a fishing net can be seen on the left-hand side of the boat. There is an oar behind the boy. Water is in the background.
