HISTORYThis is the under 16s Hastings Football Club. Their captain was Bill Crosbie. They are the grand final team of 1948 and were beaten by Morning Star by four points. The names of the players are as follows: Back: Ron Unthank, John Mirabella, Tony Rowe, Lorrie Rhymer, Ron Cockhead, Doug Harle and Peter Lewis. Middle: Peter Goss, Graham Knox, Bill Cockhead, Bill Crosbie, Max Glover, Max Christie. Front: Bob Main, Brian Thornell, Ivan Thonive, Ron Crosbie, Ken Harrison, Noel Stokes and Ron Moncrief. The original photograph belonged to Dell Mirabella. The players names have been written on a piece of paper and glued onto the back of the original photograph. The size of the other copy is: L10 x W15.Moncrief
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a young football team posing for a photograph. They are all dressed in a uniform of dark coloured long sleeved shirts and white shorts. There are seven players standing in the back row, six squatting in the middle row and seven sitting cross-legged on the grass in the front row. They all have their arms crossed. There are large trees behind them in the background and a white goal post can be seen on the far right-hand side.
