HISTORYThis group of men are from the Hastings fire brigade in the late 1940s. The photograph is from the Goss Collection.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a group of five men standing behind a fire hose, arms crossed, posing for a photograph. The hose reel has two very large wheels. There are bushes behind them and the tops of roofs can be seen in the background. All the men have similar hair styles and none of them are smiling. They are all wearing similar short-sleeved open-necked shirts with a logo on the front and long trousers.
