HISTORYThis is a presentation of a portrait of Mr James David Hodgins by his son-in-law Mr Jack Edwards to Mr Thomas Barclay. Mr Hodgins was President of the Hastings Reading Room and Library (known as the Hastings Hall) Committee of Management. Mr Hodgins was succeeded by Mr Barclay. This information is glued to the back of the photograph.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows two men standing holding a framed photograph of a man, taken from the chest up. The man on the left-hand side of the image is smiling and looking at the other man. He is wearing a dark coloured suit with vest, white shirt and tie. He has a full head of dark coloured hair. The man on the right-hand side is looking at the photograph. He is wearing a lighter coloured striped three-piece suit with white shirt and tie. He has a small badge pinned to the left lapel of his coat. He has little hair.
