HISTORY

This is the Australian crew of Baltimore aircraft photographed at operational training unit at Gianaclis, Egypt in 1944. The men are: left to right: Richard Bird (Dicky Bird), wireless air gunner; Frank Payne, Pilot; Les Holder, W.A.G. and Bill Mott, navigator. This information is written on the back of the photograph in blue ink. Also written on the back is: “Mr. L. Holder 11 Wyldwood Cl. Somerville 3912 Phone 776915”.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows four airforce men standing in front of a plane posing for a photograph. They are dressed in full operational gear. The man second from the left has his foot on top of some gear on the ground. Only part of the plane can be seen behind them.
