HISTORYThe donor of this photograph has added a note which reads: “ I’m not sure whether these shots are from “Hastings” from 1914/18 era. They look like “light horse” or “artillery”. Neville Creaney’.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a group of soldiers posing for a photograph around a cannon. There are nineteen men. Five are sitting on the ground in front of the cannon, one is sitting on the wheel of the cannon and the remainder of the men are standing. Horses can be seen on the left-hand side of the image and more men and horses can be seen on the far right-hand side of the image. All the soldiers are dressed in the same uniform except the man, second from the right, who appears to be an officer. The photographers details are embossed at the bottom left-hand side of the mounting board.
