HISTORYThis is thought to be a portrait of Fred Barclay as it was found amongst other Barclay papers and photos. Written on the back in black pen is: “To Dear Auntie Ada Wishing you a happy Xmas & a merry New Year. with love From Fred. A piece of white card has been glued at the back, bottom section of the photograph.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a young man posing for a photo, taken from the waist up. He is turned slightly and not looking at the camera. He is wearing a three piece pin-striped suit, white shirt and tie. His fair hair is parted on the left-hand side and swept up on the right-hand side. The photographers details are embossed in silver at the bottom of the mounting.
