HISTORYThis is the jetty and Western Port at Hastings. Written on the back of the photograph in pencil is: “Martha”. Also stamped is: “Velox Kodak Print”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a jetty jutting out into the water. The photograph is taken in the middle of the jetty looking all the way to the end. A white post and rail fence is either side of the wooden jetty and rail tracks run down the middle. Tied up to the jetty on the right-hand side is a row of approximately thirteen fishing boats with tall masts. A man can be seen standing on one of the boats holding onto a mast. People can be seen fishing off the jetty on both sides, along with dogs and fishing nets. A wooden box is on the jetty in the foreground.
