HISTORYThis plaque was placed in the Pioneer Cottage garden at the Hastings Museum complex on the corner of Skinner and Herring Streets, Hastings, at the opening of the Remembrance Garden of Peace on 11/11/1995 by Lieut Colonel P.E. Rhoden.
DESCRIPTIONThese images show rose gardens and a plaque set into a large stone with a rose garden behind it. The roses are light and dark pink. There is a trellis covered in a large climbing rose with a seat under it. Large trees can be seen behind the garden. Part of a brick pathway can be seen on the right-hand side with a wire garden edge beside the path. The date 20.2.’96 appears at the bottom left-hand side of the photograph.
