HISTORY

This cottage is in Skinner Street, Hastings and was the home of Noon Lothian, then Bishop. It is from the J. Bryant Collection or Joan Lynch?

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a cottage with a verandah on two sides. Three women and three children are standing on the ground in front of the cottage posing for a photograph. The three women are all wearing dark coloured long dresses. The little girl has a white pinafore over her dress and pantaloons are showing under her dress. The two boys are wearing long pants, coats and hats. A dog is sitting to the left of the boys. The cottage has four posts on each side of the verandah. Two sets of windows, on either side of the door is on both sides of the house. Rough ground is in the foreground. Three chimneys can be seen on the roof.
