DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a very well dressed elderly woman wearing a fur collared long coat and hat, beside a motor car, which is parked on the road. A man, dressed in a three-piece suit is standing on the edge of the footpath behind her. The gutter is paved. The back of the car is visible with the number plate 193733. Both doors are wide open and a large spare wheel is attached to the back of the car by a frame. A small building with a tiled roof, and bricks part way up the walls is behind the couple. The front door is open and POST OFFICE is printed above the door way. Two windows can be seen either side of the door. Both have printing at the bottom of the window which reads “Post & Telegraph Office”. 1937 is printed in large numbers on the bricks on the right-hand side of the building. Part of a telephone box can be seen behind the post office and part of another building can be seen beside it.
