HISTORY

This photograph is of Miss Lily Petersen and some of her family members. Written on the back in blue ink is: “Taken at Mornington Sept 20th 1947”. Also written in pencil is: “Auntie Lil Petersen”. The photographers details are also stamped on the back. Miss Lily Petersen was Post Mistress at Crib Point from 1917 to 1942, when she took sick leave. She never married and was buried at Crib Point Cemetery on November 13, 1963, aged 87.
