HISTORY

This is a photograph of Lil Peterson in the garden with a younger woman taken in January, 1947. Miss Peterson was Post Mistress at Crib Point from 1917 to 1942, when she took sick leave. She never married and was buried at Crib Point Cemetery on November 13, 1963, aged 87. Written on the back in blue pen is “January 1947”. Written in pencil is “Auntie Lil Petersen”. Kodak print Velox is stamped on the back.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows two women standing together in front of a garden, posing for a photo. The woman on the left is wearing a light coloured, short sleeved dress. The other woman is older and wearing a long sleeved, floral dress. Garden and shrubs can be seen behind them.
