DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a group of approximately seventy men and one woman standing and sitting on the steps of a building. The one woman is standing in the back row on the left-hand side of the group. She is wearing a black hat and an overcoat with a black collar. Most of the men are either wearing or holding a hat or cap. Some men are dressed in three-piece suits and ties, some in working clothes and some with aprons. There are steps right across the front of the building and three large sets of windows are behind the men. Pieces of timber are strewn across the ground in the foreground. “Parliament House ~ Canberra ~ 1926.” is printed in white on the mounting board below the photograph. The photographers details are also printed on the mounting board.
